We are a team of Triathlon fans who attempt to put on a great, high quality race with all the ingredients that we’d like to find in an event. We work on it all year with enthusiasm, care and dedication. Come and enjoy our province, the city of Pamplona-Iruña, its culture, its inhabitants and its cuisine.
The PAMPLONA-IRUÑA HALF TRIATLON won’t let you down. Once you’ve tried it, you’re bound to come back.
FRIDAY MAY 13
11 am to 8 pm – CHECK-IN (PAMPLONA)
4 to 9 pm – TRANSITION AREA OPENS AT THE ALLOZ RESERVOIR (ARITZALEKU CAMPSITE)
8 to 9 pm – TECHNICAL MEETING IN PAMPLONA
SATURDAY MAY 14
8 am to 12.30 pm- CHECK-IN IN PAMPLONA
10am – FIRST BUSES LEAVE FOR THE ALLOZ RESERVOIR (ARITZALEKU CAMPSITE)
11.30am – SECOND BUSES LEAVE FOR THE ALLOZ RESERVOIR (ARITZALEKU CAMPSITE)
9 am to 1.30 pm – TRANSITION AREA OPENS AT THE ALLOZ RESERVOIR (ARITZALEKU CAMPSITE)
10am to 1.30 pm – ATHLETE BAG COLLECTION IN ARITZALEKU CAMPSITE T1
1.30 pm – TRANSITION AREA CLOSES
1.45 pm – CALL AREA
2 pm – MALE RACE STARTS

In the cycling sector, there are three food and drink provision points, located as follows:
- Provision point 1 after 15 km.
- Provision point 2 after 40 km.
- Provision point 3 after 64.5 km.
In the running race, there will be two food and drink provision points on each lap, located as follows:
- Provision point 1: after 1 km – 8 km – 15 km
- Provision point 2: after 5.5 km – 12.5 km – 19.5 km
At these provision points, you will find:
- Bike bottles with water and hypotonic drink
- Coca cola
- Gels, jellies
The rules to be applied are the FETRI standard in force on the day of the event.
The race is open to traffic and it is the participant’s own responsibility to respect the highway code.
Pamplona City Council Municipal Police and the Navarre Foral Police plus volunteers will provide security during the bike race.
There will be volunteers and police at the different crossroads making it easier for participants to cross.
On registration, it is possible to book a place on a bus for triathletes from Pamplona to the Aritzleku campsite for a cost of €5.
The first bus departure will leave at 10am and the second and final departure at 11.30am.
The organisation also offers a bus for triathletes’ companions who would be able to see the swimming at the Aritzleku campsite and subsequently return to Pamplona at 3pm. This service will cost €10. This service should also be booked when registering.
Triathletes and companions who have chosen this option will be checked off against a list when getting on these buses.
There is also the chance to organise bike transport from Pamplona to the Aritzaleku campsite. The departure will be from the same place as the buses although 15 minutes earlier so at 10.15 and 11.15 am.
When registering, you will be asked to choose the bus departure time from the two available options.
The organisation plans to transport the bikes in optimum conditions (with insurance) using a specialised company in this sector for a cost of €15.
It is also possible to contract bike transport from Pamplona to the Aritzaleku campsite. The departure will be from the same place as the buses but 15 minutes earlier: at 10.15 and 11.15 am.
This transport will use the specialised Bulletbike service. Bikes will be transported in special trucks.
This service will cost €15/bike.
Triathletes contracting this service will be insured against any possible flaws that might occur during transport.
